The Auxiliary of
St. Mary's Hospital Montreal
The Auxiliary of St. Mary’s Hospital Center is a self-directed group of volunteers responding to the needs of the hospital by raising funds for materials and services that impact patient care. Monies are principally raised from operating the Gift Shop, Book Corner and Coffee Shop. Historically, the Auxiliary has also hosted St. Mary’s Ball, the Friends of St. Mary’s Golf tournaments, Fashion Shows, and the Jingle Bell Fair. Funds are rounded out by donations to the Auxiliary.

Golf
Help raise funds for nurses' continuing
education at Golf Dorval!
The 'Friends of St. Mary's Golf Tournament' is an annual golf tournament and luncheon that was started by Auxiliary members in 1992. It raises funds earmarked for nurses' continuing education. Should you be interested in volunteering for this event or joining us for lunch and/or an afternoon of golf, please contact us. All are welcome!

Fashion Show
Among its many fundraising activities, St. Mary’s Auxiliary long hosted an annual Fashion Show, feature many Auxiliary members as models! A silent auction along with raffles rounded out the events. As an example of projects funded, the $10,000 raised in 2005 allowed the purchase of a bilirubinometer for the Maternity Child Care Centre.
Jingle Bell Fair
This wonderful fair, undertaken by the Gift Shop Committee, involving months of preparation, provided a great shopping experience, along with St. Mary’s style fun. There was home-baking, lunch service, nearly new jewelry/scarves/purses/books, a silent auction, a raffle, games of chance, and handicrafts made by our team of “crafty” volunteers.
St. Mary's Ball
The St. Mary’s Ball, a major social event and fundraiser, was organized by the Auxiliary from 1959 to 1999. Now organized by St. Mary’s Foundation, the Ball continues to grow, raising considerable funds for the Hospital.
